Melaye: 'We are not going to confirm in batches'; Buhari withdraws Alhaji Ibeto from the list of ministerial nominees

The immediate past deputy governor of Niger state Ahmed Musa Ibeto (pictured below) has been withdrawn from the list of ministerial nominees by President Buhari sent to the senate.

''Senate President @BukolaSaraki reads an announcement from President @MBUhari on the withdrawal of the nomination of Alhaji Ibeto,'' a statement on the Twitter handle of the Nigerian Senate Wednesday morning.

In another development, confirmation of all ministerial nominees will be considered after the screening exercise has been completed, according to the Chairman of the Senate adhoc committee on media and publicity, Dino Melaye in an interview Wednesday morning.

''We are not going to confirm in batches,'' he said. ''We are going to confirm holistically. ''the eighth Senate is about the people. Its entire agenda is about the people.''
