VP Osinbajo signs partnership agreement at Energy Africa Campaign in London

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Mr Grant Shapps have signed new partnership agreement at the launching of the Energy Africa Campaign in London on Thursday October 22.

The partnership agreement at Energy Africa is to boost energy access and the Nigerian VP was accompanied to the event by Kaduna State Governor, Mallam El Rufia.

According to Osinbanjo's spokesman Laolu Akande, ''Nigerian citizens living in darkness is not an option for President Muhammadu Buhari. For him, the energy poverty must be addressed quickly. We must translate our energy potential to growth. Consequently, on behalf of President Buhar and VP Osinbajo left Abuja yesterday to participate in the launching of the Energy Africa Campaign in London at an event holding today. The Nigeria-UK partnership intends to bring solar power to millions of homes in Nigeria using the model of installation and payment that has worked effectively in Kenya and Tanzania. Osinbajo will speak at the event alongside the UK Minister of State for International Development, Mr. Grant Shapps, MP former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan and other leaders from Africa.''
