Buhari fires permanent secretaries

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered mass retirement of about 17 permanent secretaries, few minutes after meeting with them Tuesday at the State House in Abuja.

At the meeting were Chief of Staff to the President Abba Kyari and the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.

The decision is coming a day before cabinet ministers are inaugurated by the president.
