Russian pilot's body shot down flown home from Turkey

The body of Russian pilot, Oleg Peshkov killed last week when his plane was shot down by the Turkish air force for allegedly violating its air space on the Syrian border flown back to Russia from Turkey on Monday.

A Russian plane carrying the coffin left Ankara's Esenboga International Airport airport for Russia, after a military ceremony.

His body had at the weekend been taken from Syria to southern Turkey and then flown to Ankara.
