The 78-year-old former Nigerian Army general who was President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 reportedly arrived the villa at about 12 noon and went straight to the banquet hall where he had a closed door meeting with the president.
Shortly after their meeting, Obasanjo was approached by state house correspondents to speak but refused to give details of his visit.
