Wole Soyinka, Grace Williams, Bob Hayes to be honoured with 'Zakilo' awards

Professor Wole Soyinka, Professor Grace Alele-Williams and Captain Bob Hayes will be honored with the 'Zakilo' awards at the second edition of Ali Baba's #January1stConcert, scheduled for January 1, 2016 at the Eko Convention center, Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to the organizer Ali Baba, the Zakilo award ''is not won by who you know. It's by being the first to do something of excellence and being a pacesetter''.

Soyinka will receive the award for being the first Nigerian to get a Nobel Prize, Alele-Williams for being the first female Vice Chancellor in the Nigerian Education space and Hayes, the first Nigerian pilot for his pioneering venture into the revered airspace.

The first edition honored billionaires, Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola and others.
