Saraki writes Buhari after 18 nominees were confirmed by the senate

President Buhari and Senate president Saraki shake hands after a closed-door session at the state house Abuja on Wednesday October 7.

House speaker Yakuba and other principal officers of NASS were also at the meeting.

The day after the senate confirmed 18 out of 37 ministerial nominees sent by president Buhari, Saraki officially wrote the president.

''Today, I officially wrote to President Muhammadu Buhari that the Senate has found the 18
nominees who have gone through confirmation hearing suitable to occupy office of ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as provided for in Section 147 (2) of the constitution,'' he said posted on his Facebook page on Thursday October 15.

Earlier that day, Saraki tweeted, ''With 18 Ministers confirmed, screening of #Ministerialnominees sent to @NGRSenate by President @MBuhari will continue Tuesday 20/10/2015''
