A Nissan car catches fire near Sheraton hotel, Abuja

A commercial Nissan car with the registration number ABUJA XT 537ABC today caught fire near Sheraton Hotel, Abuja at about 3.00pm following a minor electrical spark, which melted wires under the car's engine hood and quickly developed into a ball of fire which consumed the entire vehicle.

“The vehicle would have been salvaged, if the people around there have assisted with their fire extinguisher. I watched my car burnt to the aches.” Car owner lamented.

Coincidentally, a fire-fighter truck which happened to be in the vicinity stopped at the scene of the blaze, but by then the blaze had destroyed the vehicle.
