BREAKING: Jon Stewart is leaving ‘The Daily Show’

Jon Stewart, the popular host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” is leaving the job he’s held since 1999.

Stewart will depart later this year, Michele Ganeless, president of the Viacom Inc. pay-TV channel, announced Tuesday in a statement.
