My punch advert was not a death wish for Buhari – Fayose explains to US diplomats

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose has denied that the controversial advertorial place by him in the Punch Newspapers amounts to a death wish for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, according to Ynaija.com
Fayose said this yesterday while hosting a team of United States diplomats led by country’s Consul-General in Lagos, Jeffrey Hawkins.
Explaining to the diplomats about the advertorial, Fayose said it was not a death wish advert but to appeal to sense of reasoning to prevent the episode of 2010 when the National Assembly had to invoke Doctrine of Necessity for President Jonathan, the then Vice-President, to take over in acting capacity, when former president Umar Musa Yar’Adua was incapacitated by illness.

Fayose insisted that President Jonathan will win the elections later this month and assured the diplomats that the exercise will be conducted in an atmosphere devoid of violence.
