Shehu Sani speaks on his suspension

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to his suspension from Tudun Wada ward of the ruling party in Kadun state.

In a letter to the senator dated December 27, the party said the suspension is for a period of 11 months.

Sani was also banned from engaging in party activities in the State during the period of suspension.

See his reactions below:

''The calling of my conscience is to call a spade a spade; You can chose to call a spade a spoon or a pan. To speak the truth is to express;to relieve that very burden, upon which your conscience impose on you as a man...  If we as a people adopt the concept of categorising those we should tell the truth and those we should not, we... To some, truth is an eternal title they confer on their infallible heroes;to some, truth is a moral standard they hold every man to account.''

The senator few weeks ago, condemned the Kaduna carnival organised by the state government, blaming the governor for being insensitive to the plight of local people by organising a music festival when the state and the country face economic and security problems.

The party listed Sani's offences in a statement to include, uttering statements that allegedly ''violate the rules of engagement of the party, factionalizing the party, and engaging in anti-party activities by criticizing the policies of Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
''Hardly a week passes by that his group will not be on air criticizing and challenging the enduring legacies of Mallam Nasir ElRufai, that his statement on national issues is not in conformity with that of the state government and government of Kaduna State.''
