Ooni of Ife makes Gbenga Adeyinka, Cally Ikpe, 2Baba Violence Free ambassadors

Innocent Idibia  aka 2baba has been named as ambassador of 'Violence Free World', an initiative of Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife at his palace on Thursday September 29, 2016.

Confirming his appointment on Instagram with a photo of himself with the Ooni, 2Baba wrote, ''Wooow! I must say I’ve never been blown away in the presence of somebody like this. His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife. Such an intelligent and charming human being. Thank you so much for the honour. One Nigeria. Violence Free World VFW. NMVA. Big things coming.''

Also unveiled as co-ambassadors of the initiative are comedian Gbenga Adeyinka 1st and entertainment entrepreneur Cally Ikpe.

Speaking at the event, the Ooni persuaded the ambassadors to take their roles seriously. “I want to stress that you should understand that this role you are given should not be taken with a pinch of salt.

You have all shown exemplary acts in the Nigerian entertainment world and over the years, you all have individually and collectively given your voice to ending violence in our world.

''I will urge you to strive harder to ensure you preach peace and unity everywhere you go and be ambassadors of the initiative which I believe we youths have to combat the act of terror and violence in the world,” Oba Ogunwusi said.

2Face however expressed his sincere appreciation to have been noticed by the monarch;  ''For me, the Ooni has just exemplified the true essence of the type of monarch we need at this point in Nigeria.

His love for preaching and making peace has been the mantra of his reign and I’m glad to be part of that mantra.''
