Natalie Portman to skip Oscars 2017 due to pregnancy

Natalie Portman has revealed she will not be able to attend the 2017 Academy Awards on Sunday (February 26) due to her pregnancy. She's nominated for Best Actress for her work in the movie Jackie.

''Due to my pregnancy, I am unable to attend  the Academy Awards,'' the 35-year-old actress in a statement said. ''I feel so lucky to be honored among my fellow nominees and wish them the most beautiful of weekends.''
