According the Daily Mail, Maraj, 37, was arraigned Thursday in Nassau County, New York court on charges of first-degree rape and first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child. Both charges carry a sentence of nine to 25 years in prison.
Details about the alleged rape, such as the victim's gender, or when and where the sexual assault happened, were not immediately revealed.
Maraj is currently free from Nassau County jail after posting $100,000 bail.
