On Saturday January 2, the people of Ukwa Ngwa from Abia South and Central local councils took to the street protesting against the judgment of the Appeal Court that upturned the election of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and disfranchised three local government areas.
The protesters were at Ntigha Junction and Umuika in Isiala Ngwa, Osisoma Ngwa, Ariaria Market Junction in Aba as well as Ugwunagbo, restricting vehicular movement and causing a major gridlock on the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway to express their displeasure with the ruling of the Appeal Court.
