Saraki condemns election violence in Bayelsa, says 'unacceptable, police must charge perpetrators to court'

Senate President Bukola Saraki on Sunday issued a statement condemning the violence that trailed the re-run Bayelsa governorship election in Southern Ijaw,

''Reports of violence that trailed the supplementary election in #Bayelsa is totally unacceptable. Perpetrators must be held accountable,'' the statement read. ''Regardless of what political party we belong, we must all stand against the violence, @PoliceNG must charge the perpetrators to court. I commiserate with those that lost a loved one & also commiserate with law enforcement officers who were affected in violence in Bayelsa.
