Nigeria lion killed after escaping from wildlife park in Jos

The Nigeria lion that escaped from a wildlife park after staff opened the gate to feed it on Wednesday morning in city of Jos has been shot dead by security forces, following attempts at recapturing it failed.

According to BBC, many people have condemned the killing, saying the lion should have been tranquilized and captured.

There are few lions in the Jos Wild Life Park. Soldiers and police were used to track down the animal.
