UN's chief Ban Ki-Moon is pleading for the unconditional release of Chibok girls

Mr. Ki-Moon on Monday pleaded for the unconditional release of the girls and other abductees of the Boko Haram after a private meeting with President Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, as part of activities scheduled for his two-day official visit to Nigeria.

Ban pledged UN’s support for Buhari’s reforms, saying when change occurs in Nigeria, there will be change in Africa, he went on to commend the president for prioritizing security and anti-corruption war.

Mr. Buhari thanked Mr. Ki-Moon for inviting him to attend the UN General Assembly scheduled for New York on September 27 and 28 this year.
