Neymar shows off swollen face as he faces two weeks out after contracting mumps

Barcelona forward Neymar (middle) is wearing a red Nike F.C. T-shirt and a white face cap while showing off swollen face as he faces two weeks out after contracting contagious viral infection mumps.

The 23-year-old Brazil international star posted a photo to Instagram posing with two friends, one of whom (left)  is also suffering from the disease, along with the caption: ''Friend who is a friend caught mumps together.''

Neymar has been named by Brazil manager Dunga in the team that will play friendlies on September 5 and 8 against Costa Rica in New Jersey and against the United States in Foxborough.

Neymar missed the match against last season's Europa League winners due to the illness as Barca won 5-4 the European Super Cup in Georgia and will also miss the start of the La Liga season.
