Suspected Boko Haram militants in an overnight raid on a village near Cameroon's northern border killed eight people and kidnapped about 100 others on Tuesday August 4, a local government and a military source said.
"Residents said the attackers headed back to Nigeria where Cameroon is not allowed to pursue them," the local government source in the Far North region said.
Cameroon has expelled more than 3,000 Nigerians as part of the fight against Nigeria's Islamic extremists who have launched attacks across borders, officials said Tuesday.
